This specialized course involves in- classroom power-point presentation and practical off road training.
Course contents:
Introduction, starting to drive – the preliminaries – attitude – speed – drink driving – drugs – prescription and illegal drugs – seat belts – driving – your senses, Rules of the Road, Eco–Safe driving – penalty points – law and the road user – mechanical principles – The Driving Test – accident causation – what-when-where-why & how?
With almost 300 people killed on our roads annually, understanding the affective, cognitive and psychomotor skills and what driving entails, ensures that pupils are more prepared to safely undertake the driving task when they begin to drive on the public highway. Safe driving is a life skill and should be acquired at an early age.
